Developed and maintaining CaneInfo (http://caneinfo.icar.gov.in), a user-centered & database driven website for cane growers and development persoonel.

Led a multi-disciplinary team in conducting over 100 demonstrations in 100 ha spread across three agro-climatic zones, to prove ‘improved yields are possible with optimum usage of irrigation water’.

Conducted an award-winning experimental study with farm women on using communication media for effective farm communication to develop multimedia strategies using traditional and new media, in participatory mode.

Employed ‘Focus Group’ qualitative methodology for assessing sugarcane web-content priorities & effectively used Participatory Action Research approach to sensitize cane growers in five districts of Tamil Nadu on water conservation.

Developed and managing the publications database containing cane research abstracts after digitization, using the relational database management system.

 Co-ordinated eleven State-level ‘Sugarcane R&D Workshops’ (a unique initiative of Sugarcane Breeding Institute in bringing together the scientists of Sugarcane Breeding Institute & SAUs and the Sugar Industry of the States) in Tamil Nadu & Puducherry and Karnataka.

Jointly developed and commercialized ‘Soil Moisture Indicator’, a handy device to schedule irrigations in sugarcane farming :
